House of Gam is an autonomous fashion brand founded on sustainability with a rebellious attitude towards the industry’s wasteful nature. Founder Gamalier Calderon created the label from a desire to instigate positive change while embodying his unwavering individuality. His designs are often driven by elements of nostalgia and pop culture.

Our specialization lies in crafting one-of-a-kind or limited runs of garments through resourceful utilization of discarded or deadstock fabrics and surplus materials from esteemed mills. We believe that fashion should never come at the expense of our environment and we’re committed to integrating sustainable methods that minimize our ecological footprint.

ABOUT THE HOUSE

We uphold the belief that fashion serves as a crucial means of self-expression and we strive to ensure that everyone has access to premium, sustainable apparel that resonates with their unique identity. Our extensive range of sizes and styles caters to a diverse range of bodies, affirming our mission to foster inclusivity and authenticity in the fashion community.

In our efforts to further aid the mess fashion has made of the environment, 10% of each sale goes to environmental nonprofit organizations to help different causes including, reforestation, waste management, habitat rehabilitation and conservation.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Gamalier “Gam” Calderon moved to Florida by way of Puerto Rico in 2010. He quickly dove into the local fashion community, establishing himself as a fashion philanthropist and producing events promoting local talent and supporting non-profit organizations. These events funneled into the creation of Gam’s personal brand and garnered the attention that led to his appointment as Style Editor at LaPalme Magazine at age 20.

Inspired during a lockdown-fueled movie marathon, Gam discovered “The True Cost” - a documentary exposing the mass production of fashion and its harmful effects on the world. This movie opened his eyes to the inconvenient truths of the industry and advanced his efforts towards creating a sustainable brand. His ambition is to incorporate ethical and sustainable practices into every branch of the business while promoting advancement in the field with approachable costs. Gam currently works and resides in New York City.
